Originally from Morristown, which is between Knoxville and Johnson City, Doug has been at ETSU since 1970, and with the Quillen College of Medicine since its opening in 1978 – it’s special to have the opportunity to speak with Doug because of the stories he can tell about the medical school’s history and growth. A fixture at ETSU and well-known in our region, he likes most about his career working with the Quillen faculty and administration, as well as its physicians, and that he has contributed to growing the College of Medicine’s excellent reputation – Doug has been regularly recognized through the years with awards distinguishing his work at ETSU.

East Tennessee State University's American Medical Student Association Pre-Med Charter is hosting its annual Medical School Process Made Easy. MSPME is a FREE event for all students. Our goal is to provide students with meaningful information provided by knowledgeable advisors, medical students, and medical school admissions staff. There will be several fun and engaging activities to get students excited for their future in medicine. There will also be complementary breakfast and lunch for all.
